Depending on where the client needs this type of work, the massage therapist will use hands, fingers, elbows, or wrists to break up the adhesion’s. Adhesion’s, commonly known as knots, may develop in the muscles due to injury or chronic muscle tightness. To release these adhesion’s client’s may need to get a deep tissue massage.
