Becky Waterman grew up on a farm in Sherrill, Iowa where responsibility and hard work were lessons that started early in life. She earned two bachelor’s degrees in Business and Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Before she was a massage therapist, Becky was a client. As a massage client she came to believe in massage as it made a difference in her life. Consequently, she is able to make that same impact for her clients. Becky’s goal is for her clients to “Relieve Pain, Reduce Stress, Live Healthy” through her specialized natural massages. Because of her massage training and experience she is able to help clients who have specific pain and muscle issues.
Becky’s massage education was completed at Blue Sky School of Massage in Madison, WI. While in school, she chose the medical massage track which includes Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) Seminars. As a result of this medical massage experience she learned how to massage each specific muscle from one attachment to the end of the other attachment. This is an important treatment technique for clients with specific pain issues. In December of 2014, Becky finished the PNMT Certification becoming the first and only massage therapist in Grant County, WI and the State of Iowa to gain this impressive designation. As it states on the PNMT website, “More than a technique or modality, PNMT is really a way of thinking, applying clinical reasoning in soft-tissue therapy…PNMT is centered on problem-solving, which is challenging and requires a much greater skill set from the therapist.”
Platteville Massage Therapy LLC is a registered Wisconsin business and the massage therapy office location is in Platteville, WI. Becky also owns Dubuque Massage Therapy LLC which is a registered Iowa business and the massage therapy office location is in Dubuque, IA.
